New winter Tenerife flights to take off from Humberside Airport

Thomson has launched a Tenerife service from Humberside Airport, starting for for the winter 2016 season.

This latest announcement by Thomson will provide Humberside Airport with its first, direct, regular winter sun flights since 2008.

Weekly flights will be operated by Thomson Airways and will start on Monday 7 November 2016, departing from Humberside at 13:05. Return flights will depart Tenerife South on Mondays at 07:25.

The Spanish Canary Island has many resorts with Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos and the purpose built resort of Playa De Las Americas to the south of the island, with Playa Paraiso, Puerto De Santiago and Los Gigantes further up the west coast.

Tenerife also boasts many attractions including the waterpark Siam Park and Teide National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site surrounding Mount Teide (highest mountain in Spain at 12,198 feet).

This announcement also comes after Thomson returned to Humberside airport with a weekly summer flight to Palma, Majorca, after an absence of several years - a route which will also be returning in Summer 2016.

Deborah Zost, Humberside Airport’s managing director, said: “This new Tenerife service is great news for holidaymakers in the region and provides our customers with a greater choice of destinations. This further development by Thomson offering year-round sun flights from Humberside is fantastic for the airport and a great Christmas present for sun seekers.”

We are committed to the local area, having launched flights this year from Humberside to Majorca. Following its success, we are confident Tenerife will be a very popular winter sun destination from Humberside.”
