Christmas drives record breaking success for Bradford’s Driver Hire
During the run until Christmas, Driver Hire, the Bradford-based specialist recruitment company, has experienced a significant increase in demand for drivers which resulted in a new trading record.
During the week ended 13th December, the company’s 104-office network’s combined weekly turnover soared to £2.35m, the highest in Driver Hire’s thirty year history.
These results followed one of the strongest financial year’s for Driver Hire to date. The company’s network has seen a 7.5% increase ahead of same time last year., and fifteen of its franchised offices have already passed the £1m turnover mark with two – Aberdeen and Enfield – breaching the £2m turnover barrier.
Driver Hire offices provide temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff, chiefly to the road transport and logistics industry. They help when customers need extra staff to deal with holidays, illness, peak trading periods or business expansion.
Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s chief executive officer, said: “The continued increase in online shopping is just one factor in our record-breaking run, as customers seek additional staff to meet the Christmas delivery deadline.
“But that’s only part of the story. Our reputation for quality and compliance continues to put us ahead of the rest, as transport operators and businesses of all types want to work with a recruitment partner they know they can rely on.”
