North East estate agents dominates local letting market
A North East estate agents has rounded off what has been a fantastic year by being crowned the number one letting agency in Darlington.
Venture Properties has taken top spot out of 103 other agencies, cementing its title as one of the leading estate agents in County Durham.
This latest accolade is the icing on the cake of what has been an epic year for Venture, which has included the opening of a new office, adding to its team of employees, launching a new website and stamping its mark on social media.
Talking about his company’s success, co-owner, Michael O’Connor, said: “We’ve worked incredibly hard to build our brand and we place a great deal of emphasis on attention to detail and systems, which our team follow.
“We also like to think we go the extra mile for clients, as we’ve always tried to make things as stress free and as easy as possible for them.”
Venture hit the ground running in 2015 with the opening of its Bishop Auckland branch in January - one of Michael’s personal highlights of the year - coming shortly after the Durham office launch in September 2014.
With its growing success and demand, Venture Properties found the need to add to its team - now comprising 32 staff – by welcoming Anthony Shambrook to its Chester-Le-Street office in October.
Relatively new to the industry, Anthony was delighted to be given the chance to start his career with one of the best in the business.
He said: “I have always been interested in property and I have always liked to work hard, so being an estate agent gives me a fantastic opportunity to learn more about a subject which really excites me.
“I am extremely fortunate to be working with such an experienced team and I feel very proud of the professional service we provide and our ambitions to improve.
“As long as Venture continues to dream big, there is no limit to what we can achieve in the future.”
In addition to dominating the local housing market, Venture Properties has a strong sense of community around the region. This was never more apparent than in September, when the company made the headlines for raising thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support, following a successful coffee morning.
Michael said: “I think it’s essential for businesses to do something within the community where they operate.
“Macmillan is a fantastic charity that we are proud to support and it means our offices across County Durham can all get involved in supporting them.”
The company’s online and social media presence also took a major turn this year. June saw the launch of a new, modern, more user friendly website and last month, Venture was acknowledged as one of the most influential voices on Twitter in the North East in The Journal’s North East Twitterati awards.
Despite all of Venture’s great achievements this year, Michael maintains 2016 will be just as exciting, if not more so, than this last year.
He said: “We have always invested in the company from day one and we’re always looking for new angles, as reinvesting and improving is something we are looking to constantly do.
“I think 2016 is going to be another fantastic year for us as we’ve got lots of plans and ideas.
“We definitely have plans to continue expansion in the next year, as I’d like to see us with more offices throughout the region, so we can keep building on our great reputation within the industry.”
