Growing home repairs business sees EBL Group create six jobs

Construction firm EBL Group has hired a further six members of staff in its second recruitment drive of 2015.

The Halton-based company expanded its team to deal with increased business in its growing home insurance repairs division, taking on new employees with experience in plumbing, electrical work and plastering.

EBL’s managing director, Eddie Basnett, said: “EBL Group’s expansion has been ongoing throughout 2015 - and these new colleagues ensure that we have the right people with the right skills in place.

“We’ve witnessed continued growth in the work we undertake in the insurance sector. When you’re going into people’s homes and doing repair work like this it’s crucial that every job has excellent feedback.”

He added: “The six new plasterers, plumbers and electricians are now joining us in the run-up to the festive period and we’re already aiming for continued growth in 2016.”

The six new recruits, who follow 10 others hired earlier this year, bring the firm’s staff count to 116.

Projects delivered in 2015 saw EBL carry out roofing repairs and maintenance for companies such as supermarket chains Asda and M&S, and logistics firm Eddie Stobart.

Further, EBL built 69 houses in the Seaforth and Fazakerley areas of Merseyside for One Vision Housing.

Earlier this month, EBL Group was given the go-ahead for a plan to create a new development on the waterfront in Widnes.
