Moorhouse’s expands core cask ale portfolio to target national growth
Moorhouse’s Brewery in Burnley has added its White Witch cask ale to its core beverage line-up following an initial roll-out earlier this year.
The ale, which will become the sixth brand in the firm’s Pendle Witches range, is coming to market in time for the festive season.
The official White Witch launch comes at the close of the firm’s 150th year trading and is forecast to build Moorhouse’s business nationally.
David Grant, the managing director, said: “White Witch has proved to be such spellbinding ale that we simply have had to keep bringing it back for extended seasons over the past couple of years.”
“At the end of our 150th year, and in time for Christmas, it seemed fitting to add it to our core brews.”
He continued: “Blonde and golden ales are now popular through the year and White Witch is already our second top selling brand.
“We expect it to further spread the word nationally that we are brewing top quality beer in Lancashire with real provenance.”
Moorhouse’s Brewery, which is capable of producing 15m pints of ale annually at its Burnley complex, supplies several hundred pubs and drinks wholesalers across the UK.
