Yorkshire duo to create 30 jobs with new Guiseley pub chain

Two Yorkshire entrepreneurs are preparing to revitalise a Guiseley venue by creating the first of 10 new bar and dining experiences in the region, and 30 jobs in the town.

Paul Glendinning, CEO of Guiseley-based insurance broking group JM Glendinning, and Adam Lewis, Director of Twisted Bars Ltd, have taken over the lease on the former Cellar V premises in Guiseley, and invested £250k into creating Everybodys All Day Social, at the newest food and drink offer in the town.

The new venue will create 30 local jobs, and the duo are already looking for additional properties for the next bar. This is the first of 10 similar venues they plan to open in and around Yorkshire over the next seven years.

The 3,200 sq ft Guiseley site previously operated as café, bar and music venue, Cellar V, before closing in 2011.

Paul Glendinning said: “Guiseley has been crying out for more quality bars and eateries, and our vision is to offer something for everyone. We’ll be opening for coffee and brunch in the morning, and serving food throughout the day and into the early evening. Sunday lunch will be a big deal for us, and we’ll be creating a tempting menu and friendly atmosphere that we hope will attract families, couples and people looking for a working lunch, as well as those heading out in the evening for drinks with friends or family.”

Paul, who is the current CEO of family owned and run insurance and financial services group JM Glendinning, began his career in catering.

Adam Lewis has has spent the last 20 years working in the hospitality industry, opening his first bar 13 years ago. He previously ran Professional Events Yorkshire Ltd, the company behind the Tour De France Hub for Bradford Council, and he owns The Yard in Ilkley and in Malton.

Adam commented: “Getting the right people in place who share our passion for high quality products, locally sourced food and commitment to delivering a fantastic customer experience is vital.

“We are prepared to invest heavily in the right people, and we’re currently putting the finishing touches to our very own bespoke training module. We are putting in place a team that will deliver excellent customer service, has great product knowledge on food, coffee, cocktails, craft beer and wines. This customer experience will be delivered in an environment that will be fun and welcoming throughout the day and into the evening.”

Work will start on the Everybodys renovation early in the New Year, and the venue is set to open its doors in Spring 2016. The refurbishment will also see 1,150sq ft of previously unused outside space – the former Clintons store - opened up for customer use, and the creation of a function room for private hire.
