Newcastle’s LamasaTech to expand interactive offering across Europe
Digital development agency LamasaTech has revealed plans to grow its UK and European operations, growing its interactive offering beyond its current client base in Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The Newcastle-headquartered firm of digital designers, established in 2009, specialises in bespoke applications, web development and custom-built hardware.
Beginning life developing software and hardware for interactive computing surfaces, used for everything from interactive restaurant menus to multi-touch conferencing surfaces, the firm is now focussing on bringing its offering to museums, logistics and operations sectors in the UK and Europe.
Mahmoud Elsaid, Managing Director, said: “Our interactive technologies consultations, display ranges and Data Visualisation offering are currently being utilised by companies in diverse sectors including healthcare, retail, logistics, hospitality and banking.
“We are proud to have one of the top five energy companies worldwide as our customer, and we have also recently secured one of the biggest logistics companies in the world to our growing lists of clients.”
Mahmoud is also proud of the firm’s versatility when it comes to its audio visual technology offering.
He explained: “AV technologies is the age we are living in. You may find it used in many areas but it is not utilised and deployed properly. We do supply AV technologies to customers, yet we are not suppliers; we are AV and Technology Designers.
“We design the product and the experience, manufacture/produce it to deliver what it was designed for whether its experiential experiences, operational performance systems, or cost saving systems”
The company recently expanded into offering custom data integration, process improvement and KPI visualisation solutions, including creating and installing a new cross-platform time-management system for baggage handlers at Bahrain’s airport which has improved both staff efficiency and customer satisfaction levels.
“We have a track record of satisfied customers that entrust us with enhancing the processes, develop new experiences and save money through our technologies and consultative approach”, he continued.
The company currently have a team of 16 developers, designers, consultants and hardware experts worldwide but Mahmoud is committed to keeping company head office in the North East.
“We knew when we started LamasaTech we had a unique product and the potential to expand into different markets and territories quite rapidly, but our growth and demand for our solutions has exceeded expectations.
“Despite selling our solutions worldwide the North East is the perfect place for us to develop and service our global customers, partners and satellite offices.”
