PH Media Group donates presents for Manchester children
The Salvation Army in Sale this year received the biggest donation from a single company to the charity’s Christmas Present Appeal.
The donation came from Old Trafford-based PH Media Group. All 330 of the company’s employees donated brand-new gifts to the appeal, helping to benefit the lives of less fortunate children and their families around the Manchester area.
“Christmas is a time for giving but that doesn’t just apply to individuals – we feel it is important we do our bit as a company to strengthen the sense of altruism at this time of year,” said Christopher Berisford, Finance Director at PH Media Group.
“We’re very impressed with the overwhelming generosity of our staff and hope it can make a huge difference to those in need during the festive season.”
Employees from the company have also recently taken part in a Santa Dash, a festive five-kilometre run around the streets of Old Trafford which raised more than £3,500 for Christies.
The event is the latest in a series of fundraising activities carried out by the firm under the banner of its charity, the PHMG Foundation. The company has achieved its target of raising £19,000 during 2015 and has already started to plan new activity for 2016.
