PushDoctor to expand with multi-million pound funding
The Manchester- and Midlands-based tech firm behind PushDoctor, an on-demand video GP service, has managed to secure an $8.2m boost.
The funding round, which involves investment firms Oxford Capital Partners, Draper Esprit and Partech Ventures, follows a previous seed funding round that raised $1.2m.
Now, PushDoctor plans to use the cash to strengthen its approach to data, potentially enhancing the way in which it integrates with the UK’s healthcare organisations.
Speaking to TechCrunch, Eren Ozagir, the firm’s founder and CEO, said: “We are working to provide patients with a greater choice – initially by offering simplified access to a registered GP, who in most ‘care journeys’ acts as a patient’s guide, confidant and advisor.
“We have removed the restrictions; of access, consumption of time, and frequency of appointments.”
PushDoctor, which offers UK users the ability to hold a video call with an NHS-registered medical professional, comprises a network of around 7,000 GPs.
