Whitley Bay & District Scouts Show Takes Place This Month
Whitley Bay & District Scouts take to the stage at Whitley Bay Playhouse this month 21st – 23rd January with a cast of almost 100 Cubs 8-10yrs, Scouts 10-14yrs and Explorers 14-18yrs to perform their Bi-Annual Gang Show - Showtime - which is a family variety performance.
It is 6 years since they brought the Gang Show to the Playhouse after doing smaller shows in local churches and halls so many of the young cubs and scouts will be experiencing the bigger stage for the first time!
Says Tony Bennett, Assistant District Commissioner for Whitley Bay & District Scouts: “The Gang Show this year will include modern material combined with old traditions, we have an enthusiastic cast from 8yrs -18yrs and a superb ’Cub Gang, performing Geordie Jack and the Leek Stalk as well as popular songs, sketches and updated material, we are hoping our return to the playhouse will be supported by its patrons and give our young people the experience they deserve”
“The entire Cast, Crew and all involved have worked incredibly hard for months on the show, so we hope as many people as possible will come along and support us!”
Tickets are available to buy online from Whitley Bay Playhouse.
