Elm EV seeks £210k investment with crowdfunding campaign launch
Sunderland-based electric vehicle charge point installer, Elm EV has this week launched its first crowdfunding campaign.
Specialists in supplying and installing electric car and van charging points to businesses, the firm aims to raise £210k, to develop its own unique charge point for UK and international markets, whilst allowing investors to own shares in the company.
The company, which £400k in their first year of trading, will also use the investment to employ a sales team with several sales managers, specialising in both private and public sector.
Moreover, the investment will also be used to aid the marketing budget for a national marketing campaign and enhance an e-commerce platform.
The company work with companies such as Nissan GB to supply and install charging equipment for a commercial customer base, whilst acting as one of the NHS’s main suppliers of charging equipment.
Technical Director, Anthony Piggott said: “The growth of the ultra-low emission vehicle industry is phenomenal and we are in a great position. This is a once-off opportunity for members of the public, enthusiasts and investors to help build the EV charging infrastructure and to be a part of the fast paced industry, reaping the rewards.”
Elm EV are one of only a few companies in UK approved and certified to install rapid chargers.
