Formby Surveys to drive business with £130k loan
Precision measurement services provider Formby Surveys has secured a £130k boost to build its client base, create jobs and drive its London business.
The Merseyside firm received the six-figure loan from The North West Fund for Loans Plus, which is managed by finance company FW Capital, and plans to use the cash to invest in new specialist laser equipment.
Formby Surveys will also accelerate its marketing activities, redevelop its website and hire four new employees over the next 12 months.
Managing director Andy Roberts said: “New technology is creating additional opportunities for us and with this loan we’re expanding our services through the latest modern equipment.
“Providing ‘rights to light’ surveys for property developers is an excellent example of how targeting niche markets can complement our core business.”
Andy worked with FW Capital investment executive Carol Bolland in securing the loan.
He continued: “Carol at FW Capital has been very supportive and understands our plans.
“With the backing of the loan from The North West Fund for Loans Plus we’re confident we can continue building our client base, both regionally and nationally as well as in London, which is a lucrative market for us.”
Founded in 1989, Formby Surveys provides professional measurement services to clients including civil and structural engineers, construction professionals, architects and property developers using techniques such as 360 photography, laser scanning and 3D modeling.
Carol commented: “Andrew and his team are experts in their field and their innovative approach has seen them achieve success in a number of niche markets.
“The loan from The North West Fund for Loans Plus has provided the business with the funding boost it now needs to capitalise on this successful formula by developing new services and increasing its market presence.”
The £45m North West Fund for Loans Plus lends from £50k to £750k to businesses across the North West.
