Creamline Donations Hits 100k For St Ann’s Hospice

Trafford-based family company, Creamline Dairies – a long standing advocate of St Ann’s Hospice – has reached its goal of raising an outstanding £100,000 for the Manchester based charity, hitting the six figure sum this December.

Committed to supporting the communities it serves throughout Greater Manchester and Cheshire, Creamline launched its dairy local lottery scheme in 1990 with the sole aim of raising money for local causes such as St Ann’s Hospice. The scheme raises thousands each year for several charities, including the hospice.

Commenting on Creamline’s impressive donation milestone, Creamline’s joint managing director Rob Purvis said: “Over the years we’ve experienced firsthand the inspiring work that St Ann’s Hospice does for those that need it most, which makes reaching £100K so significant and we’re delighted that we could raise such a sum of money. As a company we’re committed to supporting local charities whenever possible, which is why we first set up the dairy local lottery scheme, so we can continue to support incredible charities, such as St Ann’s Hospice.”

Opening its doors over forty years ago, St Ann’s Hospice provides care for thousands of patients and their families and carers each year across Greater Manchester, who are affected by cancer and non-cancer limiting illness. Delivering services that are special and unique to each individual, the hospice provides care on three sites, as well as in people’s own homes, working in partnership with acute hospitals and primary trusts.

Creamline’s donations this year included ‘Pay for a Day’: an initiative set up by the hospice that calls on companies or individuals to cover the cost of 24 hours of care at St Ann’s. In November, Creamline also attended St Ann’s Little Hulton Christmas fair, where visitors were greeted by the vintage float and giant skittles, all in aid of raising money for the charity.

Discussing Creamline’s involvement with St Ann’s Hospice, Rachel McMillan, Acting Chief Executive at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “At St Ann’s we’re grateful for each and every donation, so to receive such continued support from a local company is amazing. St Ann’s has to raise £16,000 each day to continue to provide the highest quality care to the people who need it most, so we depend on companies such as Creamline to help us raise the money we need to support individuals within Greater Manchester.”

Along with its support of St Ann’s Hospice, Creamline’s long-established independent local lottery scheme and donations direct from the dairy award tens of thousands of pounds a year to local good causes including, Cre8, The Message, and local community groups like the Girl Guides. Customers can buy lottery tickets for just 20 pence either online or via their regular order.

Creamline, which delivers milk, store cupboard essentials and fruit and vegetables to homes and businesses across Greater Manchester, has also set up its own Cream of the Community award scheme, to celebrate the unsung heroes of Manchester and Cheshire.
