Parcel distribution company on the move to Ozone Business Park

DPD UK Ltd is the latest company to take space at Horncastle Group’s Ozone Business Park near Howden, East Yorkshire following a deal secured by property advisers JLL.

The parcel distributor has agreed to take 47,145 sq ft of warehouse space which includes 6,716 sq ft of offices.

Planning consent for the brand new facility has now been submitted and is due for approval by the end of February 2016. DPD plans to relocate its staff from its existing site in Goole on completion of the building.

Louise Ferguson, general manager of property at DPD, said: “Following a period of sustained growth, this investment in a modern, purpose-built distribution facility allows us to expand our existing operations to meet our growing business needs.”

Situated on a five acre plot, the site has 59 van and five HGV trailer parking spaces along with 60 car parking spaces.

Ian Hodges, managing director of Horncastle Group, added: “DPD joins a growing line up of quality businesses at Ozone and we look forward to welcoming them to the park. We are confident further interest for logistics firms will continue to follow as a result of this latest deal.”

Rich Harris from property consultants JLL, who advised on the deal, also commented: “Sitting within the growing Howden and Goole employment hub, and with a focus on modern energy efficient buildings, Ozone Park is extremely well placed to attract both industrial and distribution occupiers looking for buildings which add value to their business.”

Ozone Business Park is located on a 32-acre site on the A614 Howden Road near to junction 37 of the M62 motorway. Existing occupiers include TNT and Warburtons.
