Parklane Group embarks on new partnership with Broadley Group

Leeds-based Parklane Group has bought a 50% share in its long standing business partners Broadley Group, which is a provider of building maintenance and development work.

The Parklane Group has largely built its business portfolio in the Leeds rental market with professional and student property brands, including Parklane Properties, RentInc and luxury student accommodation IconInc, along with Leeds Golf Centre and Roomzzz Aparthotels.

The Broadley Group has been trading from its Leeds HQ for over 50 years, offering a range of business maintenance services including construction, refurbishment, joinery and flooring working on a number of successful projects such as Leeds Trinity Shopping Centre and Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Parklane Group and the Broadley Group have been collaborating for nearly two decades, most recently with the construction of Roomzzz Chester, Roomzzz Nottingham, Boston Exchange in Leeds and the commercial fit for IconInc’s first student development, The Edge.

The partnership will see Parklane Group’s head of construction, Paul Manku, move over to the Board at Broadley Group. The partnership will not see any significant changes across the businesses other than the formal arrangement of the partnership.

Gary Broadley, chairman of the Broadley Group, said: “We know the team at Parklane really well having worked closely together for two decades on a successful number of projects. We’re looking to grow the business further with an aim to be one of the premier construction developers in the UK and this partnership will allow us take on bigger projects in the long-term.”
