Boxed Off appointed by boxing champ Liam Smith
Liverpool PR agency Boxed Off Communications is ‘knocked out’ after being appointed by world champion boxer Liam Smith.
Scouser Liam, 27, is unbeaten and the current WBO light middleweight champion and one of four title-winning boxing brothers.
He won the championship belt in October 2015, becoming the first boxer from the city to hold a world title outright in more than 20 years.
Liam successfully defended his belt last month and Boxed Off arranged a Boxing Day appearance and interview on the Anfield pitch prior to the clash with Leicester City.
Liam Smith said of the appointment of Boxed Off:
“As a big Liverpool fan, it was great to get on the pitch and show off my belt. I was really nervous and was thrilled to receive a standing ovation from both sets of fans.
“As I look to the next stage of my career, it’s great to have an experienced PR agency in my corner.”
Richard Clein, founding director of Boxed Off Communications, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Liam. He’s a great role model and a deserving champion.
“He’s got a very exciting future ahead and there are plenty of opportunities to boost his profile out of the ring and develop his commercial potential.”
In March Boxed Off will launch Mattel Play! Liverpool for its client Heritage Great Britain plc, the group behind iconic tourist attractions and destinations including Land’s End, Snowdon Mountain Railway and Lightwater Valley theme park.
Boxed Off can also count global logistics company Suttons, independent financial adviser Acumen Financial Partnership and charity Liverpool Lighthouse amongst its clients.
