Mr Flyer Sponsor Distributor in Iron Man Triathlon
Flyer Distribution company, Mr Flyer will support their star employee in the Iron Man Triathlon in Bolton on 17th July 2016. The firm plan to pay the £400 registration fee for Dainius Imkaitis in order to secure his place in the event.
The event, labelled “the world’s most challenging endurance race”, will see Dainius take part in three endurance disciplines; swimming, cycling and running. The event has been the focus of Dainius’s training for the past two years and will take up to 17 hours to complete.
The 21 year-old moved to the UK from Lithuania in order to complete a Sports Promotion and Marketing Degree at Huddersfield University. Whilst studying, Dainius works for Mr Flyer as a leaflet distributor on a part time basis. Due to his proactive approach and commitment to training, Dainius utilises his time at Mr Flyer. He regularly jogs whilst distributing and listens to podcasts in order to educate himself on the job whilst training for his first triathlon.
Graduating this summer, Dainius plans to stay with Mr Flyer until completion of the triathlon before moving back home. He commented “This has been something I have wanted to do for a long time but was unable to get the same support in Lithuania. At Mr Flyer we are a single solid team, we win as one and we lose as one. I believe that there’s a huge level of unity and respect from Andrew, Michael and Jordan for employees. I am very grateful to be given the chance by Andrew to represent Mr Flyer in an Ironman. This will be my first triathlon and I plan to complete this within 10 hours”.
The firm are very happy to help their employee due to his outstanding efforts with the company, becoming the employee with the highest average delivery speed. Managing Director, Andrew commented “We are delighted to be able to support Dainius in his triathlon. We like to help our employees wherever possible and the triathlon is something Dainius is really passionate about. We wish him all the luck and hope to be there to cheer him on.”
