Nottingham Construction Firm Moves In The Right Direction
Nottingham based DL Rhodes & Son Ltd is set to move into a new £400,000 state-of-the-art office on Blenheim Industrial Estate as part of the firm’s latest expansion plans.
The 6,000 sqft facility consists of three offices, a boardroom, a kitchen, parking and a 4,500 sqft warehouse, which highlights the firm’s latest expansion plans.
The last 12 months for the firm has seen a 20 per-cent increase in staff, larger contracts being won and DL Rhodes & Son being presented with Biffa’s 2015 Supplier of the Year Award.
DL Rhodes & Son needed bigger premises for storage, following investments made in new telehandlers, diggers, plant, and sight containers, and required more office space as staff additions saw the construction specialist outgrow its former home in Arnold.
Nigel Rhodes, managing director at DL Rhodes & Son Ltd said: “This move highlights our determination to continue to grow as a company and it was necessary for our forthcoming expansion plans.
“We are absolutely delighted with the site as it gives us more storage space for our latest equipment investments, which will ensure that we can continue to offer a high quality service to our clients.”
The location of Blenheim Industrial Estate was also a key factor in the decision to move due to its close proximity to J26 of the M1, as DL Rhodes & Son continues to work with Biffa at its 146 depots nationally.
DL Rhodes & Son is currently in the process of modernising the facility and has plans to make another new appointment by hiring site operative, Aleksandr Chudonogov (28).
Nigel added: “We continue to do a lot of work with Biffa so the location is ideal for carrying out projects anywhere in the country. It will also allow us to tender for even bigger projects, and increase our manpower.”
