Yorkshire recruitment firm takes up flagship Headrow offices
Yorkshire recruitment company Brewster Pratap has taken 2.020 sq ft of prime office space in St Andrew House, a flagship building situated on the corner of Park Row and The Headrow in central Leeds.
The 15,000 sq ft office building has recently undergone a £400k refurbishment and Brewster Pratap are moving into the second floor, where the refurbishment has been completed.
Sam Jamieson of property consultancy Knight Frank in Leeds, who advised Brewster Pratap, said: “Although we were extremely pleased, it came as no surprise to the agents that most of the second floor at St Andrew House has been let to one of Yorkshire’s newest and most successful recruitment firms.
“The high specification refurbishment coupled with the very reasonable quoting rent of £13.95 per sq ft on a five-year lease, was a winning formula in attracting this new and exciting tenant.”
Established in 2011 the Brewster Pratap Recruitment Group is in the top 1% of the UK’s fastest growing start-ups.
Nigel Brewster of Brewster Pratap commented: “Due to the continued success and growth of our Leeds team we were looking to find a suitable, larger, longer-term solution which kept our central Leeds location but had the capacity to grow our business in line with the increasing demands from our clients.
“Having secured a similar move for our Sheffield operation just over a year ago, the Knight Frank team in Leeds were successful in identifying St Andrew House as a potential solution.
“Our new site at St Andrew House combines a central Leeds presence on The Headrow in the heart of the business and commercial district with attractive yet cost-effective space. This is the ideal move for us, allowing our Leeds team to expand in a more permanent base in line with our predicted growth.
“Having identified St Andrew House as a location at the end of 2015 we have already taken occupation in what has proved to be a relatively painless process,” added Mr Brewster.
Sam Jamieson added: “As the Leeds city centre office market continues to improve, we fully expect to achieve similar lettings in the building later this year. Suites ranging from 1,560 – 3,340 sq ft are currently available in the building.”
Originally developed in the 1970s, St Andrew House was a façade retention scheme, with the Park Row elevation carrying listed building status.
