Fleet services company sponsors Olympic hopeful Zoe Gillings-Brier
UK Fuels, the Crewe-based fleet services provider, has announced a sponsorship deal with pro snowboarder Zoe Gillings-Brier as she prepares to compete in the next Winter Olympics.
World Cup gold medalist Zoe has teamed up with UK Fuels to drive her towards winning gold in the 2018 Winter Olympics, to be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
UK Fuels’ group marketing director, Jakes de Kock, said: “We have been tremendously impressed by the success that Zoe has achieved in her career so far and are delighted to be playing a part in, hopefully, sending her towards further sporting glory.
“Success in sport comes on the back of talent, hard work, dedication and commitment along with an unswerving attention to detail. It is an area where small margins can make big differences.”
He added: “It’s the same in business and that’s why we constantly refine our services to enable our customers to run their transport operations at maximum efficiency and effectiveness and give them the edge over their competitors.”
Discussing the deal, 29-year-old Zoe said she believes the partnership will be “a great help” to her training and competition regimen.
She explained: “The varied nature of my practice regime means that I am travelling a lot between snow and off-snow locations, and knowing that UK Fuels will be helping me get from A to B takes a lot of financial worries away and means I can focus on the slopes and hopefully shave precious time off my results.”
