£650k transport investment creates 6 jobs at Durham flooring subsidiary
Flooring Superstore, an online retailer of carpets and flooring, has invested £650k in a new transport depot in Daventry,
The company, part of the CreateCity group, headquartered in County Durham, has announced that eight new jobs will be created as a result of the investment.
The improved 10,000 sq ft facility at the Royal Oak Industrial Estate will allow for easier access and quicker delivery times, with the firm growing its presence in the UK with the opening in the East Midlands.
Dan Foskett, Managing Director of Flooring Superstore, said: “This latest investment in our infrastructure and workforce will allow us to stay at the forefront of our industry, cope with our increased demand and offer an even greater service to our customers. The expansion into a new transport depot will allow our dedicated team and fleet to deliver our products even more efficiently to customers from all over the UK.”
Flooring Superstore has also taken delivery of four new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans to its fleet, with additional vehicles on order to accommodate the expansion.
Mr Foskett added: “It is an exciting time for the company as we look to grow our brand and offer our services to even more customers. We are progressing nicely with our ambitious expansion plans, with future investments planned that will increase our fleet of vehicles and the added space gives us even more capacity to grow.”
Flooring Superstore is an online retailer of flooring, which includes carpets, wood flooring, vinyl flooring, laminate, as well as artificial grass.
