Manchester marketing firm reports 1000% profit growth
An online marketing company based in Manchester has said it achieved quadruple-figure profit growth in 2015.
The 12 months to September 31 saw Improving Sales Ltd’s profits rise from around £11.5k in 2014 to just under £131k, a year-on-year increase of more than 1,000%.
The company, which is led by Lancashire-born entrepreneur David Cockett, operates from an office above The Mitre Hotel in Cathedral Square.
In 2014 the company became part of businessman Anthony Sheridan’s investment firm Sheridan Group Ltd, which also owns The Mitre Hotel and several others across the city.
Improving Sales has said that around 70% of its business in 2015 is attributable to new client wins achieved through word-of-mouth referrals.
Dave Cockett, Improving Sales’ managing director, said: “To see the business grow at such an incredible rate has been rewarding for my team and it’s great to see some fantastic results from our efforts for clients over the past three years.
“Ending 2015 on such a positive note and with our new website now live, the future is looking even brighter for Improving Sales.”
