ASKAMS, the Cramlington-based asbestos, water, fire, health and safety and environmental compliance services, has appointed Aaron Dodd as technical director and board member.

As well as overseeing the technical department nationally, including three analysis labs, Aaron will work closely with ASKAMS founder and managing director, Stewart McNicholl, in providing strategical management.
With a strong reputation for setting high standards in the environmental and hazardous materials consultancy sector, Aaron is a member of various industry boards and committees including the management board of ATAC (Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association).
Commenting on his appointment, Aaron said: “AKSAMS is already going places and has huge potential for further growth – I’m really looking forward to being integral to this. It is a very customer and employee focused company with values I admire, so it is a great move for me from both a personal and professional point of view.”
ASKAM’s managing director, Stewart McNicholl said: “Having Aaron join us is a real coup, not only because of his technical expertise – he has a proven track record of improving businesses efficiencies and delivering measurable change - but also his ability to motivate, bring team cohesion and build a culture where people want to achieve.
“Aaron is also the first board member to join us that hasn’t been involved from the start and this change of strategy will undoubtedly bring us further strength in depth as we move forward to meet our ambitious growth targets for 2016 and onwards.”
