OVH Public Cloud tops CloudScreener rankings
OVH’s Public Cloud has emerged as one of Europe’s and North America’s top public cloud offerings in CloudScreener’s latest rankings. OVH was awarded first place in France and second place in Europe and North America based on performance, security, flexibility and pricing criteria.
Cloud pricing and performance analyst, CloudScreener assesses infrastructures of around 30 providers, including AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure and OVH. It runs a continuous series of tests, evaluating RAM, CPU and disk responsiveness among other criteria, to ensure a long-term assessment instead of a snapshot.
CloudScreener carries out independent measurements of products from cloud providers to give businesses insights into the management and performance of public and private clouds.
“Being ranked first in France and second in Europe and North America is a recognition of our expertise in public cloud. This is a mature service relying on OVH’s own infrastructure, including its global fiber optic network and its datacentres, all the while benefitting from OVH’s technological know-how in terms of virtualization,” explains Jean-Guillaume Burlet, Cloud Product Manager at OVH.
OVH’s Public Cloud offer, launched in October 2015, was built around three major criteria: performance, security and reliability. These criteria were chosen because they are extremely important to users. To ensure top scores in these criteria, Public Cloud notably offers an anti-DDoS protection and triple replication in three datacentres, thereby ensuring a 99.999% Service Level Agreement (SLA). Moreover, clients can enjoy on-the-spot customization of their projects based a pay-per-use model. The service is billed by the hour, giving OVH a highly competitive advantage in the Public Cloud arena.
