Manchester agency celebrates founder's NTA win
Manchester real life insight and innovation agency Humanise is celebrating the success of its co-founder, Paul Coleman who was awarded ‘Best Comedy Show’ at the recent National Television Awards (NTA) for co-writing the BBC 1 Car Share series, starring Peter Kay and this week scooped the Best New Sitcom and Comedy of the year at the 10th annual comedy.co.uk awards. Coleman, co-founder of Humanise, works with leading global brands, helping them get to know their consumers and in turn creating new products and services that consumers will love.
Commenting on his win, Coleman said: “It was a real honour to receive the award. We’re thrilled the programme has received such a great reception from British viewers, and people have warmed to the central characters of John and Kayleigh. Storytelling is key to what we do at Humanise, bringing both insight and innovation to life so it’s great to demonstrate that in other fields.”
As well as co-founding Humanise, Coleman is a (LA) BAFTA award winning comedy writer having written for Channel 4, Comic Relief, The Royal Variety Performance, the NTAs and the Brit Awards.
Coleman partnered with insight guru and MumPanel founder Lynne Barcoe to create Humanise, having worked with her for a number of years. Collectively they understand the value of combining their individual specialist skills, expertise and experience to map this onto the real life journeys of consumers. Today, they and their team work all over the world on many varied and interesting project, from inventing new snack foods, refreshing global TV formats, through to training corporate teams and driving organisational change. “We are thrilled for Paul and all of the Car Share team on winning this award; it’s a truly amazing achievement. Paul’s unique story-telling craft combined with his ability to innovate and ideate on real life findings provides the perfect combination for the work we deliver for clients.
