A new general manager has been appointed at Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club - and says he can’t wait to welcome guests.
Colin Richards, joined the landmark property after almost five years working for the hospitality company’s Residence Inn brand in Scotland.
Glasgow-born Colin, who grew up in South Africa, will oversee all operations at the four star luxury property.
An experienced hotel manager, he has spent more than a decade working in the industry, working for high-profile clients including Granada and Whitbread.
He says he can’t wait to get to know guests at Sprowston Manor and to spend time at the beautiful property. As he explains: “This is a dream job for me and I’m really looking forward to getting to know staff, guests and members, as well as the area as a whole.
“Sprowston Manor is such a unique place, situated in this amazing part of the world and I’m really proud to be joining such a dynamic team.
“I’ll be helping our expert staff ensure guests receive the fantastic level of service they have come to expect. It’s about going way beyond the basics to create truly memorable visits guests will remember and talk about.”
Colin is also looking ahead to the part new technology can play in creating stand-out hotel stays of the future. He adds: “The next generation of travellers are already using technology to plan, design and review their visits and these innovations will define how we provide services going forward – making it an exciting time in the hospitality industry.”
