SweetTree named in Sunday Times Best Companies list

SweetTree Home Care Services, one of the UK’s leading domiciliary care providers which has offices in central London and Richmond, has been named one of the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ by the Sunday Times.

The annual ranking highlights the cream of Britain’s happy and motivated workforces. All the scores and ratings are based on employee opinions with the methods of data-gathering and analysis widely acknowledged as the most extensive research into employee engagement carried out in the country.

SweetTree has been recognised from more than 1,050 businesses and organisations that were put forward for this year’s list. The firm’s exact placing will be announced at a ceremony in London on 24 February, with The Sunday Times releasing its Best Companies to Work For supplement on Sunday 28 February.

Founded in 2002, SweetTree provides support at home for individuals with a wide range of care needs. Services include care for those experiencing age related frailty and more specialist programmes for those with dementia, mental health related illness, learning disabilities, brain injuries, neurological conditions and palliative care needs.

Demand for SweetTree’s specialist services has seen its team swell to in excess of 500 employees, including carers, support workers and office-based staff. Placing great emphasis on training, the company was the first home care provider in the UK to achieve a highly regarded AIM Awards Quality Mark for its in-house training programmes. It is also recognised as an Investors in People Gold Standard company.

SweetTree managing director, Barry Sweetbaum, commented: “As a people-centred organisation we’re absolutely thrilled to be named one of the UK’s best companies to work for, especially as the ranking is based on the feedback of the team.

“We strongly believe that providing high quality care services means employing the best people and supporting them with the best training possible. That’s why we continue to invest heavily in the SweetTree Training Academy and in supporting all our employees with their professional development. This has included the introduction of a dedicated team who have overseen the integration of the new Care Certificate within our comprehensive training programmes. “
