UK’s first newbuild Pullman hotel launches in Liverpool
The new 216-room Pullman hotel at King’s Dock in Liverpool has officially opened.
Located next to the ACC Liverpool on the city’s iconic waterfront, the site is the company’s first newbuild hotel in the UK.
Pullman Liverpool, which includes a bar and restaurant called Dukes, is the latest venue added to the growing ACC campus, which also houses the BT Convention Centre, the Exhibition Centre Liverpool and the Echo Arena.
Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson, who met the venue’s general manager, Neil Brailsford, at the opening event, said: “This magnificent hotel is the latest chapter in the continued investment on Liverpool’s waterfront maintaining the city’s drive to be not only be a key regional destination for leisure, conferences, exhibitions and events but also a ‘City of Choice’ across Europe and the wider markets.”
At the end of January, Pullman confirmed that 60 jobs had been created at the new hotel.
Commenting on the launch, Neil said: “We are extremely proud the Pullman has chosen Liverpool to open its first UK newbuild hotel.
“Liverpool is the perfect home for the Pullman, with its vibrant atmosphere, unique character and excellent location right on the waterfront.”
Warwickshire firm Branded Hotel Management will run Pullman Liverpool under a franchisee agreement with Accor Hotels & Resorts.
