Sporting Evening with Peter Reid and Kevin Ball

Peter Reid and Kevin Ball will be the guest speakers at a fundraising dinner at the Hedworth Hall, South Shields on Friday 4th March 2016 in aid of St. Clare’s Hospice.

Tables are on sale now to join Sunderland AFC’s former manager and captain as they share stories of their glory days. Guests will also receive a 2-course dinner served by Otto Restaurant before being entertained by Peter and Kevin.

Kevin Ball who racked up 388 first-team appearances during his time at Roker Park and the Stadium of Light before taking on roles at the Academy of Light, said: “I am looking forward to reuniting with Peter for this one-off fundraising event in aid of St. Clare’s Hospice. I am sure the night will involve lots of laughter as we share the great times we had with football!”

Peter Reid who managed SAFC between 1995 and 2002 and led the team to the Premier League, added: “Kevin Ball is an inspirational leader, a born winner and a fantastic captain on and off the pitch.”

The evening, which will be compered by Graeme Forster, will help raise vital funds for patient care at the Hospice which supports people with life limiting illnesses living south of the Tyne. The Hospice needs to raise around £1.4 million per year to continue supporting patients and their families.

Sonia Graham, senior fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to have such high profile football icons involved in our event. We anticipate the night will be a huge success and expect that tickets will sell fast.”

St. Clare’s have secured Vic Young South Shields Ltd as the Platinum sponsor and CTS (Car Parts Trade Supplies Ltd) and Utilitywise are the Gold sponsors of the evening. Other advertising opportunities are available and organisers are also looking for auction and raffle prizes.

There are three types of tickets available; standard ticket for £40, VIP ticket for £70 which includes a drinks reception with Peter and Kevin and a signed photo. There are also a very limited number of VIP exclusive dine tickets for £100 which give ticket holders VIP access plus seats to dine at Peter and Kevin’s table.
