Agile Group launch multi-million pound Data Centre

Leading ICT firm Agile Group has today launched their 4,000 square foot multi-million pound Data Centre in Teesside with the help of Psyche MD Steve Cochrane and multiple Charity founder and Venture Capitalist Andy Preston.

As the IT industry moves towards cloud technology, launching and offering Data Centre solutions was the next step in the portfolio offering from Agile Group. The Data Centre will allow business to store their equipment and data in a safe and secured undisclosed location. Some of the services available to businesses include data backup, co-location of server equipment and email hosting. Developments on a VoIP solution as an alternative for traditional phone system will be available in the summer.

Psyche have been a customer of Agile Group for the past 2 years, using the company for IT support services and equipment. Whilst Agile Group have been a supporter of Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic for over 3 years.

Agile Group customer Steve Cochrane stated, “We have been working with Agile Group for a while now and the staff are brilliant at understanding our needs and delivering a solution towards that. Straight away I saw the benefit of the Data Centre and I feel comfortable knowing where my Data is and how it is being managed”.

Offering cloud and data centre solutions reaffirms why Agile Group are a leading ICT provider within the North East. The company offers a wide range of solutions such as IT support and equipment, telecoms, internet connections solutions and network infrastructure services. The diverse product offering allows businesses to use Agile Group as one port of call for all ICT products and services.

Gavin Scotchbrook, Chief Operations Officer at Agile Group, said “Our customer base is constantly growing and their ICT needs are evolving and changing. We want to give our customers quicker access to markets and by launching our own Data Centre it allows us to offer the more streamlined and efficient solutions that will help businesses do that”.

Paul Jones, Chief Technical Officer of Agile Group, added “Our new data centre facility is a massive leap forward for us as a business. We can now provide our customers with products where we can guarantee their end to end reliability. This is because we now directly control the back end cloud infrastructure where they are delivered from.

Agile Group currently employ over 35 staff with 4 recent additions in 2016 and even further new starters on the immediate horizon. 2016 has already seen Agile Group employ staff in the sales, finance and technical departments and are recruiting for more sales and technical staff currently with the intention of an additional 50 staff employed by the company. The company’s existing headquarters will not facilitate this number of staffing levels so also on the agenda for 2016 is a new premises move. Agile Group currently operate out of Stockton, but the intention is to move into premises in Middlesbrough with more announcements expected in the immediate future.
