NetDespatch and Zenstores solve inefficiencies for Martin’s Nursery

Marlow, 10th February 2016 – Martin’s Nursery is realising the benefits of a fully automated order fulfilment and despatch solution from Zenstores and NetDespatch. The single integrated solution for the nursery’s e-commerce activities has eliminated time-consuming manual data input, saving hours in order fulfilment and eliminating transcription errors.

The Northern Ireland based family business was established more than 40 years ago, and has a nursery spanning more than ten acres. The company nursery specialises in growing and selling a wide range of plants, trees and shrubs, despatching around 300 parcels a month to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

“Prior to implementing the NetDespatch-Zenstores solution, we manually typed up the address labels, then later we moved to a method of downloading order details via a csv file. Not only was it time consuming, but it wasn’t very efficient as it was difficult to see which orders had been fulfilled and which still had to be dealt with,” said Karl Martin, Co-Owner of the nursery.

The Zenstores-NetDespatch partnership has provided Martin’s Nursery with a streamlined order-to-despatch solution for all its online orders, whether placed via Amazon, eBay or the company’s own ecommerce site.

“The solution saves us at least two or three hours a week,” continued Martin. “Because it has fully automated our shipments with both APC Overnight and Yodel, it helps from an organisational aspect, allowing us to do more things quicker. Actually, it’s a Godsend. I don’t know where we’d be without it.”

NetDespatch is essentially an invisible cog in the automated order fulfilment-to-despatch solution enabled by Zenstores’ user friendly order management tool for online retailers. There is no cost for the retailer for the NetDespatch element, and only a minimal charge for the Zenstores platform, yet the integrated solution offers customers added value and saves time.
