Firms partner to launch new print venture at Middlesbrough’s Boho Zone

Directors of two firms within Middlesbrough’s Boho Zone creative hub have come together to form a new print company, Boho Print.

Carrying out work for more than 100 businesses, the new business was formed after directors of web design company Tad Web Solutions and online video experts 90SecondStory agreed to collaborate.

Offering print brokerage, print management and design services, the new company is already doing business with dozens of Teesside firms, saving a local college more than 50% on its course booklets and a high end car dealership a big saving on its marketing materials.

Along with Ian Elcoate, Daniel Smith and Peter Smithson, Boho Print’s board includes Middlesbrough-born Peter Calvert, at just 19, one of Teesside’s youngest directors.

Creative director Peter, who was previously an apprentice with Tad Web Solutions, will manage Boho Print’s brand development whilst overseeing design and print management for clients from almost every industry sector.

He said: “What drives me is the want to see Teesside collaborating, growing and become a true powerhouse, with the Boho Zone at its centre. By providing quality print solutions at a fair price, I feel Boho Print can play a part in helping small businesses that call Teesside home grow to become industry leaders.”

Boho Print, who plan to create two apprenticeship opportunities within the next six months, have built a network of trusted, UK-based print suppliers, mainly in the North-East,

Elcoate, who met fellow director Smith whilst attending a Leading for Growth business course run by Teesside University, said: “As a young business with fresh new ideas and with one of Teesside’s youngest directors, we’re excited to be right at the end creative heart of the Boho Zone.

“As well as offering dynamic design, we’re able to secure cost-effective print prices by dealing with a range of companies on behalf of our customers. We offer a single, local and easily contactable point of contact for one-off print jobs print management, graphic design and branding services.”
