Healthy Foods Online targets North African expansion at Gulfood exhibition
Online food retailer Healthy Foods Online, which is based in North Liverpool, is to attend the annual Gulfood exhibition in Dubai as it targets new customers in North Africa.
The Gillmoss-headquartered firm will be in attendance at the exhibition which brings together over 4,000 exhibitors and 90,000 purchasing professionals from across the world.
The online retailer has proven to be a local success story after posting steady growth since it was founded in 2014, and it also created 40 jobs in the region last year.
After attending last year, Healthy Foods Online signed multiple deals with retailers in the Middle East and now hope to replicate that success in the North African market.
Michael Craven, Sales and Marketing Manager at Healthy Foods Online, explained the company’s strategy when he commented: “Last year’s exhibition was really successful for Healthy Foods Online. This will now be our third visit to the exhibition. We will be meeting with our current clients to discuss new products and also looking to expand our network with new retailers.
“North Africa for us is a market that we’ve identified as expanding rapidly, it’s an area where consumers are looking for high quality food from Europe. One of our main goals will be to build relationships with purchasers from this region.”
