Katrina Cliffe, the founder of Huddersfield based marketing consultancy KC Communications has been announced as a finalist in the Network She Foundation International Women’s Day Awards.
The Network She Awards are recognised as a platform to celebrate the success of women who mean business and the ceremony which takes place on Friday 4th March at Venue Cymru, Llandudno will see over 250 guests from across the country convene to recognise and reward these outstanding achievements.
With 15 years’ experience in the marketing industry, Katrina started her career working for renowned design agency ATTIK, before progressing to manage the marketing remit for global facing software company i-conX before founding KC Communications in August 2014.
Since its foundation Katrina has grown KC Communications to be one of Huddersfield’s leading marketing, PR and social media agencies with clients covering a multitude of industries from accountancy, to education and manufacturing.
In just 18 months the business has grown to a team of three with a further recruit in the pipeline, whilst Katrina also strongly champions local business issues and addresses concerns around the skills gap and gender balance in order to provide future professionals with the knowledge, insight and skills to address these issues.
Katrina Cliffe commented: “It is an absolute honour to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Network She Awards. Since founding KC Communications I have made it our mission to deliver outstanding service to our client base and work closely with educational organisations and young professionals which has all been testament to our fantastic growth. The categories of which I have been shortlisted in are a closely guarded secret until the night itself which adds to the excitement”.
The award shortlist follows the announcement that KC Communications have been appointed to manage the international marketing requirements for Hornsea based counter terrorism manufacturer, Heald whom KC Communications met at the Forward Ladies, Women in Business Awards of which they were also shortlisted for an award.
