Agile Group extend £3,000 Government Internet scheme

Agile Group have today announced the extension of a popular Government scheme that offered business up to £3,000 for internet connectivity. The Stockton based firm saw huge demand for the scheme in 2015 and were left with many disappointed customers when the scheme was stopped due to lack of available funding.

The team at Agile Group put their heads together to work out how to meet the demands of these businesses and came up with their own scheme. It sees the same £3,000 of funding towards the installation of a leased line internet connection. The businesses would then be responsible for the ongoing rental costs.

A leased line solution is the most premium type of internet connection that is available. The solution will allows businesses access to sophisticated technology that was previously unavailable; it makes Cloud Computing easily accessible and gives the option of utilising VoIP solutions for their telecoms; whilst it will also increase the productivity and efficiency of staff.

Gavin Scotchbrook, Chief Operating Office at Agile Group, revealed “The demand for this funding and these solutions was so high and intense we had to find a way of meeting business’ needs. We had some fantastic success with the initial scheme from the Government and knew it would impact on the performance of businesses in the area”.

The scheme is not available permanently though as Agile Group announce it will be run through February and March with a view to extension if demand continues in the same vein as the Government initiative.

Agile Group currently provide leased line connections to over 100 businesses in the Teesside area and a further 50 nationally.
