Preston’s College enters partnership with Accrington software firm
Preston’s College has teamed up with an Accrington-based software firm to provide new building information modelling (BIM) training programmes.
In response to recent government legislation that requires architects and contractors to digitalise and streamline all stages in a construction project using BIM, the college has partnered up with Quadra Solutions Ltd to allow engineering and construction firms across the North to upskill their staff through software training.
Quadra Solutions’ Lee Clegg said: “Through BIM, the UK construction industry is undergoing its very own digital revolution.
“With demand for BIM-compliant projects growing at an increasing rate, it is important for many organisations to understand how to get involved in an effective and structured way to meet the new regulations.”
The BIM programmes will be led by ROI Solutions, the college’s employer-facing service.
ROI Solutions’ head of employer engagement, Lisa Edge, commented: “We’re delighted to have Quadra Solutions on board as our latest partner.
“Its approach towards skills delivery is very much aligned with our entire ethos and vision at the college, which is to provide businesses with the most employable workforce that possess the skills, experience and qualifications that the company and their industry wants and needs.”
She added: “Working in alliance with Quadra Solutions and its skilled team will also enable us to increase our reach across the North and access more businesses and learners than before.”
