Wheatcroft joins Directors Online Network as sales director
Directors Online Network, created to bring together various groups of the world’s most powerful CEOs, CFOs and Non-Executive Directors in a series of online business communities, has appointed David Wheatcroft (48) as sales director.
David brings more than 30 years’ sales and management experience to his new role, in which he will be responsible for recruiting and managing the membership sales team, as well as ensuring Directors Online Network grows and develops while maintaining high service levels.
Commenting on his appointment, David said: “It’s fantastic to be joining a company that is already going places, and also has such ambitious future growth plans. The concept of bringing high level professionals together in an online network, providing thousands of employment and networking opportunities, is an innovative and unique one that is proving hugely beneficial to members and employers alike.
“My role is to help Directors Online Network develop and grow in a sustainable way by recruiting and retaining a team that who will look after our members well, offering expert support and advice.”
David was previously a sales director at commercial laundry group, JLA, where he doubled sales in only four years and also sales director at Reece Safety Products, where he helped increase turnover by 25% year-on-year.
Matthew Roberts, CEO of Directors Network Online said: “Given his extensive sales experience and successful track record in developing and recruiting teams and growing businesses, David was the perfect candidate for this role.”
Directors Online Network is set to reach its 2016 turnover target of £6million with turnover last year at £1.2million.
Its networks provide a platform to build a profile and showcase services and products in front of senior decision makers.
