Restaurateurs to launch Indian dining concept at First Street development

The founders of an indian restaurant in Cheadle are creating jobs with the launch of their second Greater Manchester restaurant this week.

The two restaurateurs, who established the Indian Tiffin Room in Cheadle three years ago with the support of alternative lender Business Finance Solutions, have created 16 jobs and safeguarded 10 others by expanding their dining concept into Manchester city centre’s First Street development.

Nathan Wightman, a business loans manager with BFS, supported the Indian Tiffin Room during the expansion.

He said: “Having provided the Indian Tiffin Room with the support they needed three years ago for their first restaurant in Cheadle it is enormously gratifying to see just what a great success story they have become and to be able to support them with the launch of their second venture.

“They have created a unique dining experience that brings the authentic flavours of Indian street food to life and their cooking and hospitality is now recognised and respected by diners from across the world.”

Nathan continued: “The Indian Tiffin Room already has a fantastic track record and we are proud to be part of their ambitious expansion and growth plans for the future and to help keep Manchester on the culinary map.”

BFS is part of the Manchester Growth Company, an economic development organisation.

Commenting on the First Street opening, the directors of the Indian Tiffin Room said in a statement: “Launching our second restaurant is an incredible way to start 2016 and the working relationship with BFS has meant that we have been able to bring the concept of the project to life to bring the Indian Tiffin Room experience to Manchester.

“We have worked hard to build our reputation and clientele over the past three years and will continue to develop our distinctive menu and service in the new Manchester venue.”
