Capita pre-lets office space at Copyright Building development
Property developers Derwent London has announced it has pre-let the office element at its Copyright Building development to Capita.
The building, which sits at 30 Berners Street in Fitzrovia, Central London, consists of 87,150 sq ft of office space spread across floors one to seven.
International outsourcer Capita have agreed to a 20-year lease at a rent of £7.4m per annum and will move in once the development is completed in the second half of 2017.
John Burns, Chief Executive Officer of Derwent London, commented: “The Copyright Building is an exciting and dynamic new development and we are delighted that Capita has chosen it as their new UK head office.
“Since its purchase in December 2012 we have gained planning consent, acquired an interest in a building that completed the site assembly, regeared the headlease, and maintained full occupation until we were ready to start on site.”
The news comes as Capita posted disappointing end of year figures this morning, as profits fell to £112.1m from £292.4m in 2014.
