Rudridge raises funds for local children’s hospices

Rudridge has raised £500 on behalf of local children’s hospices in Arundel and Sittingbourne.

The team at the civil engineering and groundwork material specialists took part in a range of fundraising activities during December to raise funds for Chestnut Tree House and Demelza Children’s Hospice.

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and cares for 300 children and young adults with progressive life-shortening conditions. It currently costs over £3.5 million each year to provide care services, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Demelza Children’s Hospice supports children and young people aged 0-19 years old who are not expected to reach adulthood. The charity offers children and their families the chance to build memories as a family unit by undertaking a range of activities that they may not ordinarily be able to access.

Darren Price, Group Operations Manager at Rudridge, commented:

“We are extremely proud to be supporting Chestnut Tree House and Demelza Children’s Hospice. They are both fantastic charities that help so many families in their local communities. We hope this donation will help to continue the important work that they do.”
