North East sewage treatment company celebrates Scotland expansion!

RA Dalton Ltd., one of the UK’s leading accredited sewage treatment specialists, is celebrating its latest expansion with a new office in Scotland, in addition to its other offices in County Durham and Derbyshire.

With over 25 years’ experience in the sewage treatment and waste water industry, RA Dalton now employs 24 staff with a view to further increasing team numbers as business continues to flourish north of the border.

Accredited by industry leaders Klargester and Conder, the company is well established as a frontrunner in the design, installation and ongoing maintenance of sewage treatment systems, septic tanks, pump stations, separators and rainwater harvesters.

Our expert team consists of mechanical and electrical engineers, Contracts Managers and office staff covering installation management, Health and Safety (including licenses and permits), servicing and emptying, direct sales and support, and finance.

The new office in Scotland is where Marion Buchanan, the newest member of the RA Dalton team, is based. She has recently joined us at Senior Sales Administrator after several years working for Kingspan Klargester, world-leading manufacturers of premium wastewater management solutions. Her new role covers all of Scotland, including the Highlands and Scottish Islands. Her experience covers all aspects of the off-mains drainage industry including site-specific technical support, assisting with SEPA and Building Control legislation, and providing guidance through the off-mains drainage process from start to finish.

Speaking of her new position in the company, Marion said: “I have had the advantage of working alongside RA Dalton for most of my time with Klargester; it has been a pleasure joining the team, and everyone has made me really welcome. Working from our new office in East Kilbride, my ultimate goal is to grow and develop the already thriving business in Scotland. I’m really looking forward to the months ahead and can’t wait to get started!”

Marion’s experience in completing SEPA applications for wastewater licenses and permits is sure to be well-received from people looking to install off-mains drainage in Scotland. From our head office in County Durham, we can also offer information on Environment Agency and Local Authority guidelines, including managing the entire application process for Building Regulations, Water Discharge permits, Connection to a Main Sewer and Section 50 Licenses to excavate in the highway.

As the RA Dalton team goes from strength to strength, we continue to offer a complete package from design and supply of the correct system for your site, to installation, commissioning, service and emptying (de-sludging) and emergency breakdowns. For Managing Director Alistair Dalton, the opening of our new Scotland office reflects the hard work of the team, but also the increasing demand for suitable off-mains drainage solutions: “Here at RA Dalton, we’re proud to offer a complete service and give our customers peace of mind that their sewage treatment system is installed and maintained to the highest standards. I’m pleased to welcome Marion to the team, and look forward to growing our business in both England and Scotland.”
