Michelin Starred Chef Gourmet Evening at One Eighty
Chef Mark Poynton, of Michelin starred Alimentum in Cambridge, returned to the BEST WESTERN PLUS Pinewood on Wilmslow Hotel last week to cook alongside his good friend and executive head chef at Restaurant One Eighty, Colin Starkey, in a gourmet evening for 80 diners.
The event which featured six courses cooked by the duo of chefs, including dishes such as; Roast Scallop, Curry, Cumin Dahl, Apple and Coriander; Slow Roast Fillet Of Beef, Mont Dor Puree, Salt Baked Celeriac, Snails and Red Wine Sauce, and a “Snickers” Caramel Mousse, Dacquoise, Peanut Caramel, Michel Cluizel Salted Dark Chocolate.

‘To once again work alongside Mark in showcasing some of the region’s finest foods – all meticulously prepared, cooked with passion and presented with care and creativity. I thought last year’s dinner was great, but this year surpassed all our expectations.’
