Altrincham husband and wife team to open 25th Costa Coffee
A husband and wife team from Altrincham are set to open a Costa Coffee franchise at Stretford Mall later this year, adding a 25th outlet to their Costa portfolio.
Over the last decade, Altrincham businessman Simon Vardy and his wife, Tracy, have created more than 300 jobs across the North with Costa openings.
The pair’s newest coffee shop, due to open in May, is expected to create six full-time and four part-time jobs
Discussing the launch, Simon commented: “As a local company, being able to create jobs in Greater Manchester is really important to us.
“It’s a big commitment and with the opening of Costa at the Mall we’re really pleased to be able to invest in Stretford.”
He added: “We’ve wanted to bring Costa to Stretford for a little while and now feels like the perfect time to do so.
“We’re really pleased to be the first people to be able to bring Costa to Stretford town centre and we really can’t wait to get going.”
The centre manager at Stretford Mall, Gareth Wilkins, said he is delighted to welcome the Costa brand to the retail complex.
He said: “After the recent works to the market area and the upcoming arrival of Aldi, Costa coming to the centre demonstrates that Stretford Mall is a very attractive proposition for shoppers, businesses and entrepreneurs like Simon.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Simon, Tracy and their team to the centre, and are really pleased to be able to continue to offer such a varied mix to our customers.”
