Cabfind.com Wins Prestigious Rail Award

Cabfind.com, the UK’s biggest provider of transport-on-demand technology, has been awarded Subcontractor of the Year at the 2016 UK Rail Industry Awards.

The ceremony, held at Battersea Evolution in London, is a chance to recognise innovation and excellence demonstrated within the rail industry. Cabfind.com was nominated in the Innovation category and announced as the overall winner in the Subcontractor of the Year (Medium) award.

Commercial director of cabfind.com, Debbie Thompson, said:

“Cabfind.com is the only transport-on-demand company to have been shortlisted in the awards. Many subcontractors provide services to the rail industry and we are proud to be announced as the winners in a hotly contested category. Cabfind.com’s technology has directly evolved to be the perfect logistics partner for our rail clients. Almost 60% of the total journeys we plan at Cabfind.com are directly attributed to the rail industry .”

Cabfind.com’s innovative on-demand booking and billing platform handles around 30,000 high-volume corporate, logistic and disruption travel solutions for major rail and freight operators. Clients include Northern Rail, Great Western Railways and freight companies DB Schenker and Colas.

Rail clients are connected to a virtual fleet of over 140,000 quality-assured vehicles across the UK which includes emergency coach and taxi travel for times of passenger disruption and engineering works.

The UK Rail Industry Awards honours leading industry figures and key supply chain companies working alongside rail and freight operators. The awards celebrate individuals and companies who demonstrate excellence and innovation through 23 individual award categories.
