Middlesbrough sandwich company launches recruitment drive
On a Roll Sandwich Company has began a drive to add a range of positions at its Middlesbrough site, including both high-skilled and factory floor level jobs.
Looking to reinforce its current 150-strong workforce, the firm is targeting additional managers and supervisors across its production and distribution divisions.
The sandwich manufacturer produces a range of different sandwiches under its flagship Pick of the Pantry brand including its Nourishh range, designed specifically for hospitals, Pick of the Vegetable Patch, which provides alternative vegetarian options, and Pick of the World Pantry.
Managing Director James Stoddart is confident that recruits will appreciate the business and its ethos.
He said: “The main driver in any business is the people behind it. At On a Roll we’re constantly trying to implement new initiatives for staff to join and get involved in.”
The manufacturer is about to open the specially-designed staff canteen to provide subsidised meals to its employees, as well as offering the chance to become involved with taste panels to pick flavours.
James added: “With our move to the new factory finally complete and all of our production lines up and running, we now need to get the right people into these positions so that we can continue to grow throughout 2016.
“The past year has been a hectic one for us and overseeing the building of a 35,000 sq ft factory setting up 4 all new, state of the art, production lines that make over 8 million sandwiches per year has not been an easy task.
“The move however was necessary, we had outgrown the old premises and needed the space to grow and go after new contracts. We now have capacity to make over 50 million units per year.
“Now that we’re successfully up and running, we’re looking for the very best applicants to come forward and grow with us.”
