Durham training firm targets news recruits after Cumbrian expansion
Following its recent expansion into Yorkshire, KF Training has made its first foray into Cumbria.
Launched in 2011, the County Durham-headquartered training firm delivers business-focused skills programmes and consultancy services across the North of England.
After striking deals with multiple Yorkshire-based firms of late, including Sheffield-based stainless steelmaker Outokumpu, KF has now clinched deals with firms in Cumbria to kickstart a recruitment drive to hire staff to service the extra workload.
One of the contracts is with Carlisle-based plumbing and pipeline merchants Crossling, which will put its staff through service excellence training to further strengthen its relationships with customers, suppliers and employees.
The Peterlee-based company was launched in 2011 by managing director Kelly Lee and now employs 52 people.
Kelly said: “Our expansion into Cumbria is a key part of our strategy of widening our footprint in the North of England. Companies in this part of the country have a range of training needs in many areas, including life sciences, creative and digital, advanced manufacturing, energy, transport and infrastructure.
“We want to build our presence in the North West of England and we are close to striking deals with other companies in Lancashire and Greater Manchester.”
