Toxicology doctor develops new skin care range from Darlington
A doctor in toxicology has developed a new skin care from within Business Central, located in Darlington’s Central Park Enterprise Zone.
After 15 years’ experience in researching botanical extracts, Dr Fei Wan Lee has launched a range of fragrance and skincare products, all deriving from plant extracts.
The business, Feisc, became established last year after Fei, a lecturer in science, took inspiration from the understanding of plants, their fragrance, composition, and their effects on the skin,
Fei explained: “This business has been five years in the making. During this period I researched, made my own formulations and checked product stability. It is exciting to now be in a position where I can offer a range of skin care products that will work on different skin types.
“I have developed a spa range that includes a cleanser, toner, serum and moisturisers. I also have perfumes, body lotions and candles in three different fragrances. All products have been rigorously tested and approved and are being sold throughout the EU, and are available to purchase online.”
Fei moved into Business Central last summer and has been producing her products from the building ever since, Fei continues:
“This is the ideal location for my business. It’s easy for my customers to commute to, and for me the 24 hour access and reception area means it is the perfect, professional environment in which to meet prospective clients and customers.
“With the research and testing complete, I’m now at a point where I can concentrate on establishing the brand and hopefully fulfilling my ultimate goal of having my product showcased in retail stores and salons.”
Centre manager Vanessa Wood added: “Fei is an inspiration, and her dedication to her research of the product before taking it to market is illustrated in the use of the high quality packaging, and the feedback her range has already received confirms this.
“Feisc adds to the diversity of businesses we have here at Business Central and I look forward to seeing her products on display in local stores!”
