Budget Hotel operator Sleeperz launches bespoke mattress upgrade
Sleeperz Hotels, the design-led budget hotel operator, has installed new bespoke Sleepeezee mattresses at its award winning 98-bedroom Newcastle hotel.
Sleeperz has partnered with Sleepeezee, one of the UK’s oldest and most respected manufacturers of pocket sprung mattresses, to custom build a mattress that would deliver superior comfort and enhanced sleep quality to its hotel guests.
The upgrade is the first phase of a roll out that will see Sleepeezee mattresses installed at other Sleeperz UK properties within 12 months and at Sleeperz Hotel Dundee when it opens in 2017.
David Myers, chief executive of Sleeperz Hotels, said: “Sleeperz Hotels have always invested in high quality products, fixtures and fittings in our rooms and public spaces.
Sleepeezee mattresses are excellent, the epitome of traditional British craftsmanship, and you cannot underestimate the importance of a good night’s sleep to hotel guests.“
The new mattresses feature 800 individual pocket springs with a medium to firm feel and reflex foam for enhanced comfort. They are covered in a super soft viscose and cotton blend and feature attached pillow tops.
Sleeperz has also invested in new luxury down feel pillows, bed throws and cushions to provide an even better customer experience while maintaining affordable prices.
Sleeperz Hotels launched the UK’s first design-led budget hotel to market in Cardiff in November 2008, with bathroom pods featuring Villeroy and Boch ceramics, Grohe showers and space saving innovations like beds with laptop safes, floating shelves and fold-away luggage racks.
Sleepeezee is the holder of a Royal Warrant from The Prince of Wales’ household and has been hand-making mattresses and beds at its Kent factory since the early 1900’s.
Sleeperz mattress upgrade follows the refurbishment of the lounge bar, dining areas and lobby at Sleeperz Newcastle in Winter 2015.
