Lutron Electronics Showcase Solutions at Light + Building

Products exhibited at booth #C61 in Hall 4.1 include building-wide lighting management systems, LED controls, software solutions and design tools

London (March 14, 2016) – Lutron Electronics, the global leader in lighting and shade control, will be showcasing its newest energy-saving smart building solutions, featuring integrated lighting, shading and temperature control, at the upcoming Light + Building 2016 trade fair, March 13-18, 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany.

From Internet of Things (IoT) integration to energy-saving systems that provide comfort and convenience within buildings, Lutron combines control of both artificial and natural light along with HVAC, A/V and security system integration for a completely automated experience and increased energy efficiency.

Design and services tools

[if !supportLists]• [endif] Designer+ – commercial building professionals can use this tool to design Lutron light control systems and generate comprehensive system design documentation, such as Bills of Materials, One-line Diagrams, and Sequences of Operations

Performance Shading Advisor – commercial architects and specifiers can use this simple web tool to optimise their daylighting design, select the best‑performing shading solution for their project, and export a number of customised specifications and reports

Commercial light management systems

Lutron will unveil new features for Quantum VueTM facility management software, enabling remote monitoring, control and optimisation of lighting in a commercial building from a tablet, PC or a smartphone. It will also showcase its flagship Quantum® total light management system, including HyperionTM software for automated control of blinds for commercial buildings.

Hospitality

Lutron will showcase new accessories for its PalladiomTM keypads, such as aesthetically compatible power receptacles, along with USB and Ethernet sockets. Lutron will also display its new guestroom solution, myRoom™, in a real-life scenario.

Residential solutions

Residential solutions give consumers the ability to transform their homes into smart and connected ones, providing more convenience, greater energy savings and a better overall experience. Latest solutions shown on Light & Building include:

DIN Rail Power Modules – include two new models for low-power adaptive dimming and low-power switching Lutron Connect app and Lutron Connect Bridge cloud-based hardware – compatible with the HomeWorks® QS and GRAFIK RA2™ systems, these provide convenient home control from any iOS™ or Android smartphone or tablet, offering remote access, geofencing, widget support and more.

Window treatments

Sivoia® QS Triathlon® WIDR roller shades – large, battery-powered, wireless-controlled shades available from 0.5m wide x 0.3m tall, up to 3.65m wide x 3.65m tall, providing smooth, quiet, precise and convenient daylight control for large windows – without any wiring. These shades offer industry-leading long-lasting battery performance (new Battery Boost option) and clean, elegant aesthetics. These shades can be part of a HomeWorks QS system, operated by keypads or using the Lutron iOS/Android app, or they can form a simple stand-alone system controlled by a simple remote control. Innovative and high-quality LED control

Sam Woodward, Customer Education Leader for Europe & Africa at Lutron, will advise on solutions to overcome LED lighting challenges, showing how to achieve smooth, flicker-free dimming of lamps and fixtures.

Human Centric Lighting – guided walking tour (LightingEurope Tour, 2:30pm – 4pm, March 15, on the Lutron booth #C61 in Hall 4.1)

Dr. Brent Protzman, Manager of Energy Information and Analytics, will present Lutron’s solutions for personal, glare-free lighting, even in shared spaces, by optimising the use of electric light and daylight with lighting controls and automated solar adaptive window shades.
