Teesside TV star’s new venture speaks volumes
A well-known Teesside actress, currently narrating a prime-time ITV show, has launched a new aspect of her career as a voiceover artist for businesses.
Elizabeth Carling, originally from Middlesbrough, has starred in many high profile television series including Inspector George Gently, Vera, Casualty, Goodnight Sweetheart, Crocodile Shoes and The Bill to name a few, as well as appearing on stage in a range of shows from John Godber’s latest world premier to the Rocky Horror Show.
Elizabeth is currently the narrator on the new series of Bear Grylls Mission Survive on ITV and is also looking forward to working with businesses and organisations providing a range of voiceover services.
Last October and November, Elizabeth provided the commentary for a new show on Dave, The Money Pit, hosted by Jason Manford.
Elizabeth divides her time between Stokesley, near Middlesbrough, where her family lives, and the south east coast in Brighton where she is based.
Elizabeth said: “The Money Pit was a really interesting project for me and a great learning curve. I discovered so much about crowd-funding on this job which was what the show was all about.
“As well as my stage and screen work, providing a voice for advertising campaigns, documentaries and promotional films is a real passion of mine. It offers such a variety of work and I have met so many fascinating people too. I am really excited about providing a voice for North East businesses to help them promote their services or products in the coming months.”
Elizabeth’s voiceover projects have ranged from TV and radio commercials to factual documentary commentary.
